Originally designed in the 1960s as a low-cost, one-piece acrylic dome, the Skydome was widely used in New Zealand homes, schools, and workplaces. While functional for its time, these plastic domes offer poor insulation and limited natural light, and they’re no longer in production, with no plastic alternatives available.
